This sweet couple had such a chic and heartfelt ceremony followed by a dance floor that was packed from the first moment it opened until their exit. I have dreamed of shooting an Alex Camp House Wedding for years, and it was all I hoped it would be. I have photographed at almost every other space within The Dallas Arboretum over the years, but experiencing an event in this historic home was one of the highlights of my fall wedding season. The outdoor reception tent gave high end garden party vibes, and White Rock Lake is such a iconic backdrop for Dallas weddings.
Per the couple’s request, I will not be sharing their names or faces for privacy. So the photos shared in this post are a little different than what I usually share to respect their wishes. They had so many lovely details so I don’t think it dampered the content much at all!
Some of my favorite details of this Alex Camp House wedding included the sustainable floral arrangements and plants that were available for the guests to take home (minus the vases of course). What a cool way to share the beauty of your wedding and not waste any of that floral budget on one time use options. The weather could not have been better for an outdoor reception. I was also obessed with this antique silver tray that I used as the backdrop of the flat lays. It belonged to the bride’s grandmother. Sentimental and gorgeous? Get outta here!
We also have to take a moment to give a shout out to the bride’s dress. It was so modern and fit her like a glove. I gasped out loud when she put it on. The back is one of my favorite silhouettes of all time! A halter top and cape? Yes please.
