Adriatica Village McKinney – Bright Summer Engagement Session

This is one of my favorite locations in all of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Adriatica Village engagement sessions transport you to a hidden European village right in the heart of North Texas. Cobblestone streets, lovely trees, unique homes, and waterfront makes for tons of locations within a small, walkable area. It is a great option for the couple wanting a non-Texas vibe in a local setting.

Notes on Adriatica Village is that it is a development that houses multiple privately owned homes, public businesses, and an open green space with a walking area. You can park at a centrally located parking garage for free and walk without restriction around the development, but be mindful of the area that contains the private homes. Homeowners are used to photos being taken on their streets and in front of their gorgeous homes, but keep out of their yards, landscaping, and driveways.

There is even a gorgeous wedding venue within the development. Bella Donna Chapel sits on the water and is a gorgeous location for smaller weddings. The chapel also has a European vibe to it. It definitely needs little or no decorations to look amazing in photos. While you can’t host your reception at the chapel itself, you can rent The Sanctuary within walking distance for your post ceremony party.

Ana + Jake Adriatica Village Engagement Session

Ana + Robert chose Adriatica Village for their summer engagement session. The hot Texas weather did not dampen their chemistry one bit! We timed this session on a busy evening but were able to find quite a few prime locations to add a lot of variety to their gallery. I am really happy with how these turned out!

These two met in 2015 in band, but did not start dating until 2019. Ana’s mother passed away last year, but snuck Ana’s grandmother’s engagement ring to Jake before her passing. I think it is so touching for her to give him her blessing and find a way to be part of their wedding story in her own way. These two are both avid music lovers. They both play instruments and enjoy going to concerts together. Jake is a coffee kind of guy while Ana is a tea sipper after my own heart. They are making the move to Ohio but tying the knot here in North Texas where both of their large families reside (8 siblings between the two of them).

Can’t wait for these two to tie the knot next summer! I know it will be a meaningful and beautiful day for these two. Let me know if you are interested in your own Adriatica Village Engagement Session!
