Chapel at Chestnut Square Weddings – Charming Historic Wedding Chapel

The Chapel at Chestnut Square Wedding Chapel is one of my favorite wedding spots. As a local McKinney resident and a preferred photographer for the venue, I I love having a historic and super photogenic venue so close to home. The chapel hosts both small elopements and full weddings, which makes it a great option for various budgets and visions.

Brides get ready in the charming 1870’s Victorian Johnson House next door to the chapel with tons of cute furniture to photograph getting ready moments. The Chapel can hold up to 150 guests or you can also hold your Chapel at Chestnut Square Wedding ceremony in their adorable garden when the Texas weather cooperates. The garden seats up to 75 guests. They even ring the bell in the chapel after your first kiss!

From The Chapel at Chestnut Square Weddings Manager Kim Schaefer:

  • How long have you worked with The Chapel at Chestnut Square weddingsI’ve been with the venue 12 fun, wedding filled years!
  • Tell us a little about the venue and what makes it unique/special. Our venue is historical with buildings for our couples to use ranging from 1870 to 1920. It is both vintage and rustic. It boasts Indoor and outdoor spaces for use. The highlights are the ceremony spaces. A wedding garden sporting various blooms from spring to fall and the 1908 white chapel.
  • What is your favorite part about the venue? It draws in easygoing couples that want their wedding day to be fun. It is casual, charming and a real treat for your guests to experience the historic charm.
  • How does the booking process work for the venue? I love to meet with my clients and give them a very informative tour, sit down and go over dates and packages, $300 saves your Chapel at Chestnut Square wedding date, contract right in the office, a photo and they go home with a goodie bag full of vendor information to get their planning started. (You will find a flyer for Haley Katherine Photography in those bags!)
  • What advice would you give to couples planning their special day?  Have fun!  Don’t sweat all the small stuff.  You want your day to suit your personality. There are a lot of budgeting tips available out there. You don’t need to break the bank for everyone to enjoy your special day!
  • Is there anything else you would like to share?  We offer many extra services, such as wait staff, custom decorating, day of coordinating.  All those details are shared at the time of your tour. Visit our website here to schedule your tour!
