Winfrey Point at White Rock Lake is a hot spot for all sorts of photo sessions. It’s well maintained natural areas and water backdrops are great for brides, couples, families, and more. While I shoot on both sides of the lake (dependent on sunrise or sunset sessions), Winfrey Point engagement photos always turn out amazing, regardless of the time of year. It offers mature trees, grassy fields, wildflowers in the spring, and waterfront, all in north Dallas.
I will note that Winfrey Point is a popular wedding location on the weekends, so if you are planning on using this location, weekdays will have less general public and will have less of a possibility of running into a wedding and limiting your location options. I always recommend ending your session down by the water when the sun is low (for golden hour sessions). There are docks as well as grassy spots with water backdrops. It’s great when you have multiple options. Keeps sessions here unique and ever changing.
Madison + Ryan Winfrey Point at White Rock Lake Engagement Photos
Madison + Ryan picked a great day for spring weather for their Winfrey Point engagement photos. They got a sunny start followed by a nice cloud bank around sunset. Ryan’s goofy and easygoing personality had Madison giggling and smiling with ease from start to finish. I am beyond thankful for the referral from my go to DJ/Coordinator Mel for connecting me with these love birds. Their classic style and excitement made this session a breeze to both shoot and edit. Definitely looking forward to their upcoming Dallas wedding this fall.
We shared the space with a group that was setting up a surprise proposal on one side of the hill. We didn’t see the proposal itself, but heard cheering, so I am assuming she said yes.
Looking forward to these two tying the knot later this year. If this Winfrey Point Engagement Session is any indication, the photos will be beyond amazing!
