Best Dallas Indoor Wedding Venues

Planning your wedding includes hundreds of decisions. Your venue will be one of the first choices to make. When picking your venue, one of the main defining factors are whether or not the ceremony space is indoors or not. This post will help you with identifying the pros of indoor ceremony spaces from a photographer’s perspective and listing some of my personal picks for best Dallas indoor wedding venues.

One common misconception is that indoor ceremony spaces are not as pretty in photos. While the natural light of an outdoor ceremony can definitely lead to some dreamy vibes, indoor ceremony spaces can shine in their own way.

Indoor Ceremony Pros:

  • Weather is not a factor. You don’t have to worry about your guests getting hot, cold, or wet.
  • Getting married indoors means you can get married in the off season easier. Wedding season in Texas (and most places that have defined seasons) runs from late March to the end of October. If you get married between November-February, most venues will have off season pricing (even cheaper if you are willing to take a Sunday or weekday wedding).

What to Look for:

  • WINDOWS. This is #1 if you want those stunning indoor images. Big windows (more than one) are key to natural light indoors. Huge bonus if there are windows on both sides of the building. Some spaces have windows along one side, and while this can be beautiful, as a photographer I get extra excited when the light is streaming in from both sides to keep everything nice and even.
  • Light colors on the walls. Creams and shades of white are your friend. These colors help reflect the light and brighten all of your images. Barns are gorgeous but wood tones tend to be warm and or dark. This can work, but won’t reflect light nearly as well.

Even if you choose a venue that has an outdoor ceremony site. If inclement weather hinders your original plans, each venue has a backup option for your ceremony. Make sure to ask about this and look at the space during your venue tour. You can even ask if there are photos taken in that space so you can see what it looks like. Some venues have backup options that are less than ideal, and that is something to factor in when choosing your venues.

Best Dallas Indoor Wedding Venues:

Aristide – Flower Mound

Lovely windows, a creamy color palette, and wood tones to bounce the light perfectly, this classy venue is not one to miss. I have always been a fan of the bridal suite at this location as well. Lots of seating for both makeup stations and casual lounging. Check out more details about this venue here.

Hidden Pines Chapel – Hurst

This chapel got a face lift in the last few years and it really made it fabulous. It’s the kind of venue that is a hidden gem in the middle of Hurst that you could easily drive by if you weren’t looking for a venue. A cute courtyard for portraits, and loads of windows in the attached reception space even allows for brightly lit images of your reception before the sun sets. There is even a balcony for your photographer to get some different angles during your ceremony. Check out more details about this venue here.

Ashton Gardens – Corinth

Glass chapels are always a win as far as photography goes. This one looks great in rain or shine (I have photographed in both situations at this venue), with gorgeous images to show! The reception space at this venue is equally bright and lovely. Check out more details about this venue here.

Hope this list helps you decide on whether or not an indoor ceremony suits your needs for your special day! Regardless of your decision, it will be perfect and fabulous!
