I was looking forward to this Cross Creek Ranch wedding all year! After I did Rachael & Logan’s engagement photos last year, I knew the portraits for their wedding day would be amazing. The bonus is we got amazing fall weather and gorgeous golden hour light to top off it all off.
Cross Creek Ranch is a rustic barn venue nestled alongside an upscale neighborhood in Parker Tx. It boasts several outdoor ceremony locations for couples to choose from. There is a lot of outdoor space to play with when photographing at this venue. There are mature trees, a pond, a great bridge complete with lights. One issue I struggle with at many newer venues in the Dallas/Fort Worth area is lack of mature vegetation or very little space to work with. Cross Creek Ranch Weddings & Events has natural Texas beauty in spades. It is also very convenient for the Dallas crowd being less than a half hour drive from the city.
Rachael + Logan’s Cross Creek Ranch Wedding
These two were a joy to work with from the moment I met them. They are easygoing, excited about taking all the fun portraits, and stunning together. These two met online and compliment each other so well! Even their families had a blast together. They tied the knot at St. Joseph’s Church in Richardson before their Cross Creek Ranch wedding reception. Their church ceremony was full of love and family support. Rachael even had her grandmother and aunt come all the way from Singapore for her nuptials!
The reception was quite the party with DJ Kelly Hooper at the helm of the party and everyone was on the dance floor at one point or another. The bride and groom even did a little DJ-ing of their own. The guests were able to chow down on delicious Chuy’s Tex Mex for dinner and enjoy a donut wall from Dunkin Donuts. I don’t think I have ever been to a wedding where they served Chuy’s and it wasn’t a hit. Fajitas are always a crowd favorite.
Congrats again to Mr. & Mrs. Michaels! It was an absolute blast to be part of your Cross Creek Ranch wedding.
