This same sex Dallas micro wedding was one of my all time favorites! I am a sucker for small weddings to begin with, and this sweet couple had such amazing support from their family. We were lucky to get overcast weather. Even though it was midday, we were able to shoot all of the portraits outside without worrying about shade! A rare treat in Dallas. Plus the church had a great courtyard along with some great indoor spaces to shoot in.
These two tied the knot at First Presbyterian Church of Dallas, the church they attended when they were first dating. They are been together for 4 years and are self proclaimed nerds that live north of Dallas with their two dogs. This same sex Dallas micro wedding simple ceremony was attended by family members only. Zach and Doug were very clear they were looking for simple coverage. They wanted quick portraits, coverage of their ceremony, and it was very important for these two to get photos of their cute nieces along with nice family photos. This was my first same sex wedding held in a church and was thrilled to be part of such heartfelt vows.
They are a great example that you do not need full day coverage to get great photos of your special day! They booked for two hours and we still wrapped up about 15 minutes early. With a good timeline, you can accomplish so much in a few hours!
Beyond excited for these two! Congrats again to the happy couple!
