Brighton Abbey wedding venue is a fabulous space located in Aubrey, about 30 mins north of Dallas. It’s clean European look lends itself to a classy and timeless vibe. The neutral palette of the space allows for a variety of decor and color schemes to look amazing. The floor to ceiling windows in both the chapel and reception space also make it an ideal day time wedding location.
If you plan on tying the knot here, at the very least make sure your first dance is before the sun sets to take advantage of the lovely lighting the space has to offer. This Springtime wedding was in the morning followed by brunch and the light was amazing from start to finish. I will note that this venue photographs best in the morning if you are interested in using the front steps or anywhere on the parking lot side of the building. The only other time of the day it would not be harsh, would be right at sunset.
I am a sucker for any type of glass chapel and this is no exception. Bright, modern, and gorgeous are words I would use to describe ceremonies in this space. Brighton Abbey also boasts a lovely courtyard between spaces to use for cocktail hour or outdoor games. My go to florist, A Time to Shine Floral Design really knocked it out of the park on this one. The floral decor had loads of texture and color, which complimented the space and the bride’s vision so well! The varying shades of pink gave a lot of dimension to the decor design. At the helm of this perfectly executed day was my fabulous coordinator/DJ friend DJ Madam Mel. We ran a bit behind early in the day and she still made sure everything went off without a hitch (as usual).
This was a special wedding for me. It is not often that I get the pleasure of photographing not one, but two long time friends at the same time. I have known Brittany + Ryan since 2012 when we were all freshman at Baylor University. Their springtime Brighton Abbey wedding was 10 years in the making!
The road to their nuptials started when these two met at Baylor during their first week of freshman year and have been together through many moves and life changes ever since. After they both received their bachelors degrees from Baylor they both pursued continued education states apart. Brittany went to Colorado for MS in geology and Ryan moved to Dallas for an MBA and MS in supply chain management. After years of long distance Brittany was able to join her husband to be in Dallas in October 2020 where he wasted no time in proposing the following Spring. I was lucky enough to help him plan their adorable proposal and capture the moment.
Their brunch wedding took place in March. The late morning ceremony was followed by a brunch reception of chicken, waffles, mimosas, and all the breakfast goodness. Their pink florals mixed with the green bridesmaids dresses is something I hope I see more of in the future! Great combination.
Always so thankful for friends that support my business and trust me with such special memories. This Brighton Abbey Wedding was not one to forget!
Congrats again to Mr. & Mrs. Griffin!
